The Guild of Valuers and Jewellers
We understand that jewellery and other valuable belongings can be highly sentimental and that some pieces may even have been passed down through many generations. It is because of this we offer a range of services to cater for your individual needs, including a fast and secure Direct Valuation Service, In House Valuation events, through jewellers around the country, and for items of high value or large collections we offer a bespoke Home or Bank Valuation Service.
The Guild of Valuers & Jewellers philosophy is built on the foundations set out by Michael Norman, one of the jewellery trades most highly respected valuers. Michael had over 50 years experience in the trade and was one of the founding members of the National Association of Goldsmiths Registered Valuers Scheme, set up to promote high standards of valuing and to provide a benchmark to which valuers could aspire. The Guild of Valuers & Jewellers continues to follow the standards laid down by Michael to provide our exceptional services today.
Our Guild Valuers are industry leading professionals holding various and multiple recognised trade qualifications. These include FGA & DGA with many of them also holding membership of the Institute of Registered Valuers (IRV) and the Jewellery Valuers Association (JVA).
GuildPro Valuation Software
At the heart of the Guild is our bespoke Valuation Software GuildPro. The concept was born in 1990 and has evolved immensely through the years to become the UK’s leading valuation software tool for expert jewellery valuers.
Each GuildPro Valuation is registered to our secure online database e-register. Each valuation is registered using unique reference numbers and orphaned data, ensuring water tight security between you and your valuation.
In the event of a loss or theft, your insurance company and the police can be given access to the database to assist with your claim and aid towards reuniting you with any recovered items. You can apply to view your valuation through My Portfolio here.
